Cars in German Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Confirm

Police mentioned they were alerted by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau covered with reddish liquid

Approximately 50 vehicles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Vehicles, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement state they were alerted late on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued substance.

The substance had been applied in the shape of a swastika, they reported.

Police then discovered multiple other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement state preliminary tests suggest the liquid was most likely human blood.

"At present there remains no lead as to its source; investigators are not yet cognizant of any harm in association with the incident," they commented.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for details.

An important official stated the vandalism rendered him without words and needed to be resolved promptly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he posted on online, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on residents of immigrant origin in five years prior.
